Rahim Acar, who is the project leader, is professor of philosophy of religion at Marmara University, Faculty of Theology. Acar’s work focuses on theological language, the problem of evil and religious diversity.
M. Cüneyt Kaya, who is the co-leader of the project, is professor of Islamic philosophy at Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters. Kaya’s professional interests include, Ibn Sīnā’s philosophy with regard to its sources and its influence, al-Ghazālī’s thought, historiography of Islamic philosophy and Turkish thought in the period of modernization.
