Philosophy of Religion in the Classical Islamic Intellectual Traditions: Problems, Texts and Contexts is a project designed to put together an anthology of texts concerning discussions in philosophy of religion. We are going to select, translate and introduce texts, concerning topics in philosophy of religion, produced by medieval Muslim scholars who were associated with divergent Islamic intellectual traditions, i.e., philosophy, theology (Kalām), Sufism (Taṣawwuf) and Islamic Law (Fiqh). After the collection and edition of the relevant texts in Turkish and English versions, we are going to organize a conference focusing on the themes discussed in the texts included in the anthology. This project is supported by the John Templeton Foundation.
